My Approach

I believe that many of the answers we seek already exist within us. Sometimes life's challenges, conflict or uncertainty simply make them difficult to see. By working together in a safe, respectful and confidential environment, we can explore your circumstances, gain clarity and work towards positive and lasting outcomes.

I do not follow a rigid model or believe that one approach suits everyone. Every person, every family and every situation is different. I take the time to understand your unique circumstances and tailor my approach to meet your individual needs.

Seeking support is often the first and most important step. Left unresolved, life's challenges can begin to affect our health, relationships, wellbeing and enjoyment of life. You don't have to face those challenges alone. Sometimes all it takes is a conversation to begin moving forward.

"Every person, every family and every situation is different. There is no one size fits all approach."

FAQs

Where are you located?

I am located in Camden, South Western Sydney, and consultations are by appointment only. Therapy and Family Dispute Resolution appointments are also available via Zoom, which has proven to be an effective and convenient option for many clients.

How do I make an appointment?

Appointments can be requested by completing the enquiry form on my Contact page or by sending me an email. I will respond to your enquiry as soon as possible.

How long is the waiting time for an appointment?

Waiting times vary depending on the service you require and current appointment availability. I will provide an estimated waiting time or appointment availability times when you make relevant contact.

What are your opening hours?

Office enquiries are welcomed Monday to Thursday from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm and Friday from 9.00 am to 12.30 pm. Appointments are available during these times by prior arrangement. Weekend appointments are not offered.

What can I expect at my first counselling or therapy appointment?

Your first appointment is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We will discuss your reasons for seeking support, any relevant background information and what you hope to achieve. We will also review any further important administrative information, including confidentiality, consent and fees, and begin exploring the most appropriate way forward for your individual circumstances.

Do you accept Mental Health Care Plans?

Unfortunately, counsellors are not currently able to provide services under the Medicare Mental Health Care Plan program. Please note that EAP services are also not offered by my practice.

Can I claim through my private health fund?

An increasing number of private health funds recognise counselling and therapy services. As eligibility varies between providers and policies, I recommend contacting your health fund directly to confirm your level of cover.

Are my appointments confidential?

Yes. Confidentiality is an important part of my practice. There are, however, some legal and ethical exceptions to confidentiality, which are outlined in your client information and agreement forms.

Which service is right for me?

If you are unsure which service best suits your circumstances, I can discuss your situation and I will help guide you towards the most appropriate service for your needs.

Let me help you find a resolution and a more positive pathway.
